Known as Moroccan wedding blankets, Handiras are woven out of sheep’s wool, cotton, and linen by Berber women in the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco. They can be used as a bedcover or wall hanging to add that special bohemian touch to any room.
Note: These are vintage Handira blankets, circa 1980-1990s. These vintage pieces may be minor imperfections due to age, but no tears or holes. Please review the picture carefully before you buy.
All Handiras have been washed in Marrakech and are spot cleaned.

Tamegroute Vase
Tamegroute is a village located in the Draa River valley in southern Morocco., just before the immense Sahara. In the Berber language, Tamegroute means ‘last place before the desert’.
The color and texture is a result of the particular alchemy created by the potters of Tamegroute and remains a family affair handed down through the generations as each pottery piece is completely unique and no two are ever the same. Tamegroute pottery are true showpieces showing that even imperfect can be perfect. Please note that the traditional method in which the plates are fired involves stacking which result in tiny 'scars' in the glaze making each plate unique. Amelia- Meaning beautiful and the name fits this handmade vintage Boujaad perfectly. I hand select each piece during my sourcing trips and I find pieces that reminds me of a feeling or a place. This unique piece showcases the artistic and creative side of Moroccan weavers. The color tones fade from a deep wine color to a burgundy throughout this thick and plush Boujaad rug.

The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. Fatima- Pile Knot Handwoven Rug
Each of these beautiful pieces are found and hand select by me during my sourcing trips throughout Morocco. This newly made piece was designed by Afous Ghoufous, or hand in hand Cooperative a village outside of the city of Ouarzazate in southern Morocco. I began working with the ladies here at the cooperative in early 2019 after a sourcing trip to Ouarzazate. When we collaborate on designing a piece a portion of the proceeds from purchases go directly to the weaver and the group fund in order to build more space and programs for other women to work. In this region, they use natural wool and dyes such as Turmeric and pomegranate skin to create beautiful shades of yellow. Also, onion or hibiscus to create the shades of pinks and reds to Pine used to create the shades of brown
