DOMESTIC SHIPPING

All domestic orders are shipped USP and do require SIGNATURE for all items upon delivery. If you need a rug to get to you faster than ground shipping please email us at hello@SoukandSoul.com and we will get you a custom shipping quote. All orders are shipped within 5-7 business days from the time the payment and shipping information is received. Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking number.

After the package is delivered to your door step, Souk & Soul is not responsible to what happens to it from that point forward. If you would like to set up signature confirmation, you may do that yourself after you receive the tracking information.

1 PALO SANTO Stick

The name Palo Santo means “Holy Wood” is a natural wood know for it’s aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing. Palo Santo has been used for thousands of years in Peru and Ecuador by shamans and healers and it is often used for luck, to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune. It has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative. This Palo Santo is sustainably wild harvested from Ecuador from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4-10 years before they are harvested. Light your Palo Santo during your bath to cleanse the energy in your space and invoke relaxation and peace for your mind and body. Directions: Bath tea can be made in a few ways; add desired amount to muslin bag and hang under hot running bath or add herbs and salts directly to bath water or  steep it in simmering water on the stove for 10 minutes before pouring the sachet and the hot tea water into a hot bath. Fatima- Pile Knot Handwoven Rug

Each of these beautiful pieces are found and hand select by me during my sourcing trips throughout Morocco. This newly made piece was designed by Afous Ghoufous, or hand in hand Cooperative a village outside of the city of Ouarzazate in southern Morocco. I began working with the ladies here at the cooperative in early 2019 after a sourcing trip to Ouarzazate. When we collaborate on designing a piece a portion of the proceeds from purchases go directly to the weaver and the group fund in order to build more space and programs for other women to work.   In this region, they use natural wool and dyes such as Turmeric and pomegranate skin to create beautiful shades of yellow.  Also, onion or hibiscus to create the shades of pinks and reds to Pine used to create the shades of brown

  ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS: Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm. Please note that computer resolutions are different and we try to capture our rugs in natural light. This beautiful piece is a newly made custom rug by women artisan partners and weavers in Morocco. This modern piece is from the region call Taznakht  in southern Morocco an area that I visit often because of the beautiful desert and stillness that reminds you of home that this region brings.

Tamegroute is a village located in the Draa River valley in southern Morocco., just before the immense Sahara. In the Berber language, Tamegroute means ‘last place before the desert’.

The color and texture is a result of the particular alchemy created by the potters of Tamegroute and remains a family affair handed down through the generations as each pottery piece is completely unique and no two are ever the same. Tamegroute pottery are true showpieces showing that even imperfect can be perfect. Please note that the traditional method in which the plates are fired involves stacking which result in tiny 'scars' in the glaze making each plate unique. Wabi-Sabi - Discoving the beauty in the imperfect.
