PLEASE NOTE: These rug is not made by machine. Each piece is a handmade item by Moroccan artisans, so there may be slight imperfections in weaving, pattern, or shape. All vintage or older items have had a previous life as these rugs were not originally made for retail there may be slight wear and repairs. We do not see these as imperfection, but the love and story behind each piece.

Imsaal- Meaning Unique, one of a kind and that is what makes each Moroccan piece special. With the uniqueness of each piece that I hand select during my sourcing trips it reminds me just how creative and talented each of the artisans truly are. This vintage piece name fits as it is truly one of a kind and will fit perfect in a living room, dining room or pretty much anywhere in the house. The woman who made this pieces has weaved woman figures and other knotted symbols of protection (evil eye) throughout this perfectly faded red piece.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS: Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm. Tamegroute Pottery Bowl
Tamegroute is a village located in the Draa River valley in southern Morocco., just before the immense Sahara. In the Berber language, Tamegroute means ‘last place before the desert’.
The color and texture is a result of the particular alchemy created by the potters of Tamegroute and remains a family affair handed down through the generations as each pottery piece is completely unique and no two are ever the same. Tamegroute pottery are true showpieces showing that even imperfect can be perfect. Please note that the traditional method in which the plates are fired involves stacking which result in tiny 'scars' in the glaze making each plate unique.
