DOMESTIC SHIPPING

All domestic orders are shipped USP and do require SIGNATURE for all items upon delivery. If you need a rug to get to you faster than ground shipping please email us at hello@SoukandSoul.com and we will get you a custom shipping quote. All orders are shipped within 5-7 business days from the time the payment and shipping information is received. Once the order is shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking number.

After the package is delivered to your door step, Souk & Soul is not responsible to what happens to it from that point forward. If you would like to set up signature confirmation, you may do that yourself after you receive the tracking information.

Layla- Vintage Boujaad Rug

Layla- Meaning meaning ‘darkness and intoxication’, has featured in a plethora of romantic Arabic poems. As, for each piece that I  hand select during my sourcing trips brings a feeling or reminds me of a place and low pile vintage boujaad piece reminded me of traveling through Morocco and the intoxicating way this beautiful country has on ones life.

This piece is a mix of reds, browns and black showing the weavers free spirit as the pattern is one I have never seen before. ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS: Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm. Please note that computer resolutions are different and we try to capture our rugs in natural light. The woman who made this pieces has weaved woman figures and other knotted symbols of protection (evil eye) throughout this perfectly faded red piece.

Handcrafted in Marrakech these Mint tea candle are an intoxicating freshness of a crumpled mint leaf between your hands, barely spiced up with hints of green tea. Handcrafted Tamegroute Pottery

Tamegroute is a village located in the Draa River valley in southern Morocco, just before the immense Sahara. In the Berber language, Tamegroute means ‘last place before the desert’. The color and texture is a result of the particular alchemy created by the potters of Tamegroute and remains a family affair handed down through the generations as each pottery piece is completely unique and no two are ever the same.

Tamegroute pottery are true showpieces showing that even imperfect can be perfect. Please note that the traditional method in which the plates are fired involves stacking which result in tiny 'scars' in the glaze making each plate unique.

Place of Origin: Handcrafted in Tamgroute, Morocco
