Sairah- I named this piece Sairah as it means one who travels. That is extra special to me because like this one, I travel to find each Moroccan rug and spend time learning about the different styles and tribes and often you come across one that just speaks to you and this thick and plush runner is that piece.

Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm.

Region: Talsint is located in the Figuig provence, oriental region of north east Morocco. Here their carpets are made by the Berber woman using traditional berber knots

PLEASE NOTE: These rug is not made by machine. Each piece is a handmade item by Moroccan artisans, so there may be slight imperfections in weaving, pattern, or shape. All vintage or older items have had a previous life as these rugs were not originally made for retail there may be slight wear and repairs. We do not see these as imperfection, but the love and story behind each piece.

Marrakesh- Each piece that I hand select during my sourcing trips reminds me of a feeling or a place. This piece reminded me of the Pink and Peach walls that are found in Marrakesh. The color tones change back and forth depending on the the time of the day and how the sun hits the wall and I find the same happens in this thick and plush Boujaad runner.

Layla- Meaning meaning ‘darkness and intoxication’, has featured in a plethora of romantic Arabic poems. As, for each piece that I hand select during my sourcing trips brings a feeling or reminds me of a place and low pile vintage boujaad piece reminded me of traveling through Morocco and the intoxicating way this beautiful country has on ones life.
This piece is a mix of reds, browns and black showing the weavers free spirit as the pattern is one I have never seen before. Each of these beautiful pieces are found and hand select by me during my sourcing trips throughout Morocco. This piece is from the region call Taznakht in southern Morocco that I visit often because of the beautiful desert and feeling of home that this region brings. Using natural wool and dyes from Saffron and Turmeric to create beautiful shades of yellow and onion or hibiscus to create the shades of pinks.
This piece is a mix of Yellow, pink and browns showing the weavers free spirit as the pattern is one I have never seen before. Handmade Vintage Moroccan Floor Cushion-004
How to stuff: Product is shipped unstuffed. Can be stuffed using an economical way by using old clothing or bedding material such as comforters and blankets. For a firmer support, a foam insert can be used. We use TWO memory foam pillows to create a firm top and a comforter.
