Benazir- Each piece that I hand select during my sourcing trips reminds me of a feeling or a place. I named this piece Benazir as it means incomparable or unique. Each Moroccan rug is an incomparable and unique work of art.
ABOUT MOROCCAN RUGS:
Moroccan rugs are hand woven by Berber women of the tribal region specified. Each rug can take a few months to year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. From modern designs to vintage abstract form this is a way the Berber women carefully preserve their heritage of technique and knowledge passing down messages in wool from one generation to another creating textiles full of life and charm.

Place of Origin: Handcrafted in Morocco
Region: Azilal region, extending north of the High Atlas to the southern foothills of the Middle Atlas, that provides many of the most-sought-after, heavily decorated carpets. Azilal rugs are single knotted the wonderfully wild and abstract compositions silently give insight in a culture.

PLEASE NOTE: These rug is not made by machine. Each piece is a handmade item by Moroccan artisans, so there may be slight imperfections in weaving, pattern, or shape. All vintage or older items have had a previous life as these rugs were not originally made for retail there may be slight wear and repairs. We do not see these as imperfection, but the love and story behind each piece.

This beautiful piece is a newly made custom rug by women artisan partners and weavers in Morocco. This modern piece is from the region call Taznakht in southern Morocco an area that I visit often because of the beautiful desert and stillness that reminds you of home that this region brings.

Layla- Vintage Boujaad Rug
Layla- Meaning meaning ‘darkness and intoxication’, has featured in a plethora of romantic Arabic poems. As, for each piece that I hand select during my sourcing trips brings a feeling or reminds me of a place and low pile vintage boujaad piece reminded me of traveling through Morocco and the intoxicating way this beautiful country has on ones life.
This piece is a mix of reds, browns and black showing the weavers free spirit as the pattern is one I have never seen before. Vintage Taznahkt
Each of these beautiful pieces are found and hand select by me during my sourcing trips throughout Morocco. This piece is from the region call Taznakht in southern Morocco that I visit often because of the beautiful desert and feeling of home that this region brings. Using natural wool and dyes from Saffron and Turmeric to create beautiful shades of yellow and onion or hibiscus to create the shades of pinks.
This piece is a mix of Yellow, pink and browns showing the weavers free spirit as the pattern is one I have never seen before.
